Our HR Crew Department, located in Essen (Belgium) is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Learning & Development (L&D) Crew Specialist. In this role, you willorganise trainings for the crew of our vessels in a cost effective way. Second to that, the L&D Crew Specialist identifies training needs for our crew by responding to training requests from within Allseas or by actively inquiring training needs.

If required, the L&D Crew Specialist co-ordinates training development working together with experts or training providers to best suit the training needs. In this process, technical knowledge of the expert and the didactical knowledge of the L&D Crew Specialist Crew complement each other.

The L&D Crew Specialist is part of Allseas’ HR Crew Department. This department is responsible for the planning, organisation and logistics of the crew of our vessels.

Your role

  • Plan and book trainings and organise associated logistics,  process activities in our Personnel Information System.
  • Communicate with training providers and institutes.
  • Support the administrative assistant in processing certificates of crew.
  • Request feedback from crew on attended trainings and evaluate these.
  • Ensure all entry level crew training certification is up-to-date and valid.
  • Ensure training policies and regulations are understood and followed.
  • Check invoices for crew training providors.
  • Support audits of training providers, trainers and training delivery.
  • Co-ordinate training development, together with experts, as required.

What we expect from you

  • MBO (NL), TSO (B) level education or equivalent.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Learning & Development in the offshore industry.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
