The Technical department of Allseas manages all repair and maintenance activities of the fleet and plays a large role in the continuous improvement of our company and the increasing technical capabilities and capacity of our fleet.. Our fleet consists of a heavy lift vessel, a deep sea mining vessel, pipe laying vessels and barges, offshore support vessels and several supply vessels and unmanned barges.

Your role

As an Inventory Manager for Allseas, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory levels on board of our vessels. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the right stock is available when needed, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate with various teams, suppliers, and warehouse staff to achieve these objectives.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Monitoring and Control: Regularly assess stock levels, forecast demand, and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Work closely with other teams (e.g., logistics, procurement and finance) to align inventory goals with overall business objectives.
  • Implement efficient inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Unlock and analyse inventory data using dashboards or other sources of data.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, adjustments, stock levels and non-moving stock.
  • Advise on stock administration quality and accuracy
  • Advise on best practises warehouse administration related to rebuildables, exchange parts, repair items and stock corrections.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise stock levels and develop a procurement strategy
  • Communicate effectively with on-board staff to address stock-related issues promptly.

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role in the offshore industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and dashboards
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong drive to be innovative and to take initiative
