Functional Application Specialist

We are looking for a Functional Application Support specialist to join our IT Department in Delft, the Netherlands. As part of the Functional Application Support team, you are responsible for day-to-day functional support of Allseas’ core ERP (Oracle EBS) and all integrated applications. You will provide first-class support to end-users in areas of change management and access control, maintain service level agreements with the supplier(s) and give training/support on Oracle applications when needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years application support experience, with an emphasis on Oracle applications environments. Knowledge of Oracle applications, such as ADONIS and COBRA, on Microsoft Windows is a plus. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal communications skills, teamwork orientation, leadership and assertiveness. Flexibility and a strong desire to learn and is key to the success of this position.

Your role

1. Change management:

• Solve all issues within the applications
• Test and implement new releases
• Write functional requirements, communicate with users and implement customisations
• Implement new applications (Project Manager role)

2. Access control:

• Maintain/improve general security of the applications
• Access control end-users
• Assign and maintain responsibilities with the applications.

3. Service Level Agreement (SLA):

• Set-up and maintain SLAs with suppliers
• Single point of contact between Allseas and suppliers.

4. Documentation/administration and training:

• Administrate/document all relevant information
• Organise and give trainings
• Create training material and keep it up-to-date

What we expect from you

• HBO/WO degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Application Support
• Able to work well in a high pressure environment while maintaining a pragmatic approach
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages (French is considered a plus)
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with ADONIS and/or COBRA is considered a plus
• Pro-active and self-starter
