Learning & Development (L&D) Crew Specialist

Our HR Department, located in Delft and Essen (Belgium) is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Learning & Development (L&D) Crew Specialist for our office in Essen.

In this role, you will plan and organise trainings for the crew of our vessels. Second to that, the L&D Crew Specialist identifies training needs for our crew by responding to training requests from within Allseas or by actively inquiring training needs. If required, the L&D Crew Specialist co-ordinates training development working together with technical experts or training providers to best suit the training needs.

Your role exists of extensive and variable tasks, not limited to:  

  • Organising training on locations worldwide as well as on line.
  • Creating training matrices for new projects.
  • Consulting and checking on new training requirements.

Visiting Training Providers and vessels is required to establish better relationships with suppliers and crew members and for example negotiate or audit a Training Centre.

Well trained crew members ensures  a safer work environment for everyone!

Your role

  • Plan and book trainings and organise associated logistics for dedicated vessels. 
  • Ensure all crew training certification is up-to-date and valid.
  • First point of contact for all training related questions.
  • Develop training programmes with in-/external experts.
  • Investigate training needs of the crew in cooperation with the supervisor.
  • Request feedback from crew on attended trainings and evaluate these.
  • Visit your dedicated vessels worldwide to maintain good relationships. 
  • Visit training providers worldwide to build strong relationships and maintain the quality standards. 
  • Support the administrative assistant in processing certificates of crew.

 

 

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor / MBO work and thinking level is preferred. 
  • Experience with MS Office and Excell. 
  • Planning experience would be a plus.
  • Experience in L&D or offshore is not required. 
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
