Your role

As a Deck Mechanic, you will be working on offshore projects worldwide, reporting to the First Engineer Deck/Shift Leader Deck of the vessel. You will be responsible for the deck equipment, example on the hydraulic systems, you will trouble shoot and service hydraulic systems that power various deck machinery you will support the team during pipelay and heavy lift operations. You will be working closely with other crew members, including engineers, electricians and riggers. You are part of the organisation leading the offshore pipelay market and therefore learn all about offshore pipe-laying, heavy lift and our support vessels activities.

What we expect from you

To be successful as Mechanic Deck at Allseas, it is important that you recognise yourself in the below. You have:

  • Mechanical Engineer; general technical education (MTS level);
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is a pre.;
  • Good command in English, both written and spoken;
  • A valid; Passport, Seaman’s Book, seafarer’s medical;
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery’s and hydraulic, basic knowledge of electrical and other power systems;
  • Experienced with tooling, torquing, knowledge of lathe, milling machine and welding;
  • Experienced with deck equipment, such as; winches, deck cranes.
