Continuous Improvement Engineer

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer with interest in improving processes throughout the company to join our QHSE Department in Delft, the Netherlands. The Continuous Improvement unit is involved in the smaller and larger improvement projects and quite a few of the Economising initiatives. 

Your role

As part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, you are actively involved in the improvement and streamlining of company processes, implementation of lessons learnt in our day-to-day routines taking into account the different interests of all parties involved. The Continuous Improvement Engineer ensures that processes are designed efficiently and effectively and written down in a clear and concise manner.

Other tasks will be to 

  • Provide required support (e.g. to cost-saving initiatives or to improve processes) to departments, project teams, yards and Allseas’ fleet
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams with focus on change management
  • Provide support to the safeguarding of an improvement by implementing, maintaining and revising of procedures and work instructions
  • Lead internal and external audits following AIMS and project(s) requirements

What we expect from you

To be successful in this role you are results driven, have common sense and a hands-on mentality, and have a natural intuition and interest in changing processes. You are able to set priorities and thrive by working in a dynamic department. 

This challenging role offers a chance to work with many different departments and disciplines in a variety of projects for a young professional with 2-5 years of working experience. 

Besides this, you have 

  • BSc/MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Enjoyed your participation in an economising initiative
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma would be a nice benefit
  • Formal training as lead auditor for ISO9001 would be also a nice recommendation
