To strengthen our HR Crew Department, based in our office in Essen (Belgium), we are looking for a Learing & Development (L&D) Crew Assistant.

Your role

In this role, you will take care of all the training needs for the crew on our vessels:

 

  • You plan and organize trainings for the crew members, worldwide, that are assigned to you 
  • You make sure that all the crew training certification stays valid and up to date 
  • You act as the first point of contact for all training related questions
  • You actively develop training programmes in collaboration with in-/external experts
  • You proactively investigate and identify training needs of the crew in cooperation with the supervisor
  • You request feedback from crew on attended trainings and evaluate these
  • Occasionally, you will visit your dedicated vessels worldwide to maintain a good relationship with the vessel management team
  • You visit training providers worldwide to build strong relationships with them and make sure that all the quality standards are met 
  • The administrative assistants can count on your support in processing the certificates of crew

 

 

What we expect from you

To be successful in this role, you should recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Preferably, you hold a Bachelor / MBO degree (or you obtained a similar level by experience) 
  • You are experienced in MS Office in general and more specifically you know your way in Excel. 
  • Planning and organizing skills are a must
  • Occasionally, you are willing to travel to our vessels
  • You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken (Dutch is a plus)
  • Experience in L&D or offshore is NOT required.
