Your role
To be successful as a Surveyor at Allseas, it is important that you recognize yourself in the below:
As a Hydrographic Surveyor, you will work on offshore projects worldwide, reporting to the Party Chief on board. You will ensure the accuracy and functionality of our state-of-the-art survey equipment to support a wide range of offshore activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and configuring advanced navigation and data recording systems.
- Performing sensor verifications, calibrations, and system interfacing checks.
- Regularly monitoring and verifying project-specific online survey parameters.
- Conducting offshore calibrations, such as LBL seabed arrays, gyro alignments, multibeam systems, and doppler velocity logs.
- Ensuring the highest quality standards in seabed and subsea infrastructure mapping.
What we expect from you
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
Technical Competences
- BSc in Hydrography, FIG/IHO/ICA CAT B certification, or equivalent industrial, military, or academic experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in marine surveys and pipelay construction.
- Proficiency in (ROV) survey hardware, software, and methodologies, including surface and subsea positioning systems.
- Expertise in accurate seabed and subsea infrastructure mapping.
- Solid understanding of offshore construction positioning and survey requirements, including installation and decommissioning.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Soft Skills
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and systematic approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Effective communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
