Are you an enthusiastic and motivated starter with some experience in planning and organising events and executing a variety of hands-on tasks? Do you have a practical mindset and the communication skills to support colleagues in successfully organising events, arranging stock and distribution of marketing materials and taking administrative tasks out of colleagues hands?

We are looking for a practical, energetic and creative Events and Communications Assistant to join our Corporate Communications team in Delft. Being part of a team of six, you will be the first point of contact for colleagues who require assistance or support from Corporate Communications in performing their work.

Your role

The Events and Communications Assistant is the first point of contact for the Corporate Communications department and covers all executive support including distribution of communication and promotion materials, and processing business cards requests and invoices. You assist in the organisation of events and exhibitions and provide support on-site.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the organisation and logistics of internal and external events and exhibitions and provide executive support on-site;
  • Provide assistance with visits to and tours of Allseas’ vessels and yards;
  • Organise and execute the distribution of the internal quarterly magazine, the annual Christmas gifts for staff and Christmas cards for clients;
  • Execute the renewal, stock and distribution of Allseas’ promotional items for staff, departments, vessels, projects and students;
  • Perform administrative tasks such as processing of invoices, handling the business cards process, taking minutes of departmental meeting.

The Events and Communications Assistant reports to the Manager Corporate Communications.

What we expect from you

We are looking for an organised, hands-on personality with a no-nonsense mentality and a good sense of humor. This role requires a service-orientated and stress resistant approach, with the ability to work in a team and on own initiative.

  • MBO degree, or equivalent, in events, hospitality or facility management;
  • 1-2 years’ experience, preferably in an events or communications department or agency;
  • Good organisational and communication skills;
  • Eye for detail and able to perform multiple tasks at the same time;
  • Prepared to work outside office hours occasionally, preferably in possession of a driving license;
  • Good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken
  • Decent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
