Graduation Assignment: Vessel assurance
The Swiss-based Allseas Group, founded in 1985 and headed by Edward Heerema, is a world leading contractor in offshore pipeline installation, heavy lift and subsea construction. We employ over 2500 people worldwide and operate a versatile fleet of specialised heavy-lift, pipelay and support vessels, designed and developed in-house.
Assignment: Vessel assurance
As part of the continuous improvement requirement, Allseas aims to meet and exceed client expectations and regulatory requirements. For our vessels, and for our subcontracted vessels, extensive verification requirements are applicable. Within the QHSE Department various small projects are set up to review, adapt, implement and verify parts of our management system to ensure they are aligned with both international as well as local requirements. We are looking for a student to assist in this vessel assurance process.
We are looking for a student with as least one year’s practical experience in the shipping industry as a Maritime Officer, with good communication skills and a ‘can-do’ mentality to translate requirements into practical solutions and processes. In the course of this project you will develop practical knowledge of vessel assurance processes, analytical skills and knowledge of management systems. The project requires both an open mind and a hands-on attitude. If you are intrigued, you are welcome to come talk to us and we will answer any questions you might have.
