The Swiss-based Allseas Group, founded in 1985 and headed by Edward Heerema, is a global leader in offshore pipeline installation and subsea construction. Allseas Engineering, located in Delft, provides project management and engineering services to other subsidiaries of the Allseas Group.

Your role

For our office in Delft, the Netherlands, we currently have an exciting and challenging internship available within the Innovations Department’s geotechnical engineering group. The group is responsible for design, development and engineering related to pipeline and subsea construction work, such as trenching equipment, crossing installations, pile design and pipeline on-bottom stability.

Ideally, we are looking for a student with an engineering background and an affinity for the offshore and/or marine environment. In the course of this internship you will develop both your engineering and your scientific skillset. The internship requires both an analytical mind and a hands-on attitude. A Mentor will oversee your progress and development throughout the duration of the internship.

What we expect from you

  • BSc or MSc student in Civil, Maritime, Mechanical, Mining, Offshore Engineering or equivalent;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
  • Flexible, motivated and forward-thinking;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Good understanding of basic soil mechanics;
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
