On board the vessels, our marine crew work 12-hour shifts based on a schedule of five weeks on and five weeks off.

Your role

  • Execute marine operations;
  • Reporting to Chief Mate or First Mate; 
  • Conduct all activities and tasks in accordance with Allseas' corporate objectives and policies;
  • Familiarise with and comply with Allseas' management system;
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment within all Allseas premises;
  • Ensure all personal documentation is kept up-to-date, valid and will be hand carried on board in original;
  • Be aware, execute the stop the job authority on any workplace activity on the grounds of immediate safety, health and environmental hazards and informs the responsible manager immediately;
  • Act as officer of the watch and ensure safe execution of navigation;
  • Ensure that no major actions will be undertaken or executed without informing the Master, Chief Mate or First Mate;
  • Ensure that navigational equipment is operational;
  • Control the ballast system as directed by the Master or Chief Mate and be aware of vessel's stability;
  • Monitor activities with regards to safety, heath and environment and assist were necessary;
  • Act as Junior DPO;
  • Assist with general vessel maintenance and inspections;
  • Assist with maintenance of safety equipment.

What we expect from you

  • Minimum one-year experience as an officer of the watch;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
  • Completion of all safety/trade training as per Allseas training matrices;
  • In possession of Certificate of competence Officer of navigational watch;
  • In possession of a valid GMDSS.
