HR Crew Consultant

The HR Crew Consultant is working in the Crew Operations Department and provides human resource services to the Master, Chief Engineer and/or Superintendent for their respective department ranks. The HR Crew Consultant is the business partner for its respective operational department (discipline). HR services are including recruitment facilitation, retention, employment matters, career development, disciplinary matters, performance management, contractual changes, benefits and insurances. The HR Crew Consultant reports directly to the Manager Crew Operations.

Your role

  • Prepare and implement the Request for Personnel (RFP) process as required by relevant discipline department;
  • Maintain regular contact with the Recruiter concerning search for candidates;
  • Liaise with the discipline departments to ensure all job description are up-to-date;
  • Attend selection interviews with applicants;
  • Evaluate and record the assessment results of each employee together with relevant discipline department;
  • Identify potential strengths and weaknesses and discuss follow-up for their crew package;
  • Manage and monitor career plans, including development steps;
  • Manage HR Crew related matters within the crew Management System;
  • Liaise with HR Offices & Yards on HR processes;
  • Manage and administer absence, sickness and reintegration;
  • Maintain an up-to-date handbook, standard operating procedures and checklists of procedures.

What we expect from you

  • BSc degree Personnel Management or equivalent.
  • Preferably (but not a must) relevant HR experience, preferably in offshore environment or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
