The Service Engineer Rigging works within the Technical Services Department and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of rigging equipment onshore and assist Equipment Mechanics with all the lifting equipment which is part of Allseas’ yards and workshops.

Your role

As a Service Engineer Rigging you perform inspections to lifting and rigging equipment onshore, and maintenance of vessel safety equipment for yearly certification. 

Besides this you

  • Grow knowledge and develop expertise in your own field and advise technical staff and crew;
  • Assume responsibility for a safe and efficient execution of work on board and on site;
  • Execute maintenance and repair work on board at the highest possible professional level;
  • Keep administration and registration of all inspected equipment up to date, on paper as well as in the available IT systems.

What we expect from you

  • A minimum of 1 years specialist experience with certification of rigging and lifting equipment;
  • MBO degree or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of steel wires and inspection criteria;
  • Knowledge of requirements safety equipment of vessels and relevant class rules;
  • (Dutch) EKH training or similar;
  • Computer literate.
