Quality Control Inspector

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated QC Inspector to join our Training Centre located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. 

As a QC Inspector, you will assist and monitor the weld qualification process and ensure all QC test equipment is calibrated, function tested and correctly used. Furthermore, you will ensure that all quality documentation and inspection reports are raised, signed, stamped and presented to the QC supervisor on time.

Your role

In the role of QC Inspector you will promote a safe and healthy working environment within all Allseas premises. You will ensure all personal documentation, such as passport, medical certificate and safety training certificates is kept up-to-date and valid. In case of suspected safety, health and environmental hazards, you have the authority to stop the job on any workplace activity on the grounds of immediate risk. 

Reading specifications, WPS’s and writing reports is also a significant part of the job, as well as being on the shop floor and working with the team to bring the weld qualifications to a good end.

Besides this, you will

• Familiarise with project QC requirements
• Be present during welding/procedure/process qualifications
• Provide input for material reconciliation

What we expect from you

We are looking for a pro-active team player. You are a person of integrity, accurate and have excellent knowledge of welding processes, welding machines, measuring equipment and monitoring equipment.

• MTS or HTS degree in Mechanical Engineering supported by some technical training on the job, preferably in the offshore industry
• Minimum CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent for welding inspection
• Knowledge of applied NDT techniques
• ICORR 1.2, NACE 1.2 or equivalent for FJC inspection is a pre
• Pipelay construction experience is a pre
• Minimum 3–5 years’ (QC) related experience, preferably in the offshore industry
