We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Auditing Department in Delft. 

As a member of a small team, you will prepare and execute financial and operational audits on processes, departments, entities and vessels on various topics across the organisation. Internal audits help Allseas accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Your role

As an Internal Auditor you will, in close cooperation with the Group Internal Audit Manager, prepare, execute and report on audits consistent with the department’s Internal Audit charter and audit planning from start to finish, including the set-up of an internal audit control framework, and monitor progress on follow-up of the implementation of recommendations by auditees.

You will report to Management and the Audit Committee on the progress on follow-up on findings, as input for quarterly internal audit activity reports and work on the departmental quality assurance and improvement programme, for example action plans to meet the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors, better use of data analytics and SharePoint capabilities.

What we expect from you

You are a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Registered Operational Auditor (RO) or Registered IT Auditor (RE) or you are motivated to study and obtain one of these certifications to further develop yourself.

Besides this you have:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Accounting, Auditing or Control;
  • Minimal 2 years’ of operational internal audit experience in an international project organisation;
  • Willingness to travel (approximately three times 1 week per year).
