Your role

The Draftsman works within the Drawing Office, which is part of the Engineering Department. The Engineering Department is responsible for a variety of disciplines including design, fabrication and installation, in preparation for and support of pipeline installation and heavy lift installation and removal projects.

The Drawing Office is primarily focussed on the technical drawing/drafting required for the preparation and execution of offshore installation and removal activities performed by Allseas vessels in a safe and cost effective manner.

In this role you will be working with the E&I engineers in the Innovations and the Technical Department. The Technical Department employs over 200 electricians and electrical engineers offshore and onshore, working around the clock to keep Allseas fleet and all of its equipment running and up-to-date.

The E&I team within the Innovation Department is focussed on tomorrow’s challenges. Amongst these are deep-sea nodule collection, in order to provide raw materials needed for the increasing demand of batteries. Furthermore, the team is working on hybridisation of our own fleet and modification of existing vessels to make them suitable for installation of wind turbines and their sub-stations.

Specific job tasks are to create or update electrical wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, arrangement drawings and cable and consumer lists. You are responsible for proper revision management and to retrieve information needed in order to complete drawings.

In this role, you will join a team-minded and energetic department with committed professional colleagues. You will work in a dynamic, world-leading offshore company, with short communication lines. To be successful in this role you have a hands-on mentality, are efficiency driven and thrive by working independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities, as well as in a team.

Besides this, you have:

  • MBO/MTS Electro engineering or equivalent
  • good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • experience in working with EPLAN, AutoCAD and Excel
