We are currently looking for an Equipment Engineer to join our Pipeline Production Department (PPD) in Delft, the Netherlands. This role can be an excellent startingpoint of your career at Allseas. 

Allseas has executed more than 300 projects and installed over 23,500 km of subsea pipeline. The Pipeline Production Department is responsible for the preparation of all offshore welding, non-destructive testing (NDT) and coating activities for our pipeline installation projects. 

Your role

As an Equipment Engineer, you will make sure that all equipment related activities for our pipelay vessels are prepared on time and in an economic way. It is your task to timely and economically prepare and support the equipment related activities for the pipe lay vessels, ensuring the project requirements are met. 

You will monitor the production equipment built by Allseas or subcontractors, both on- and offshore, and take care of efficient planning and allocation of equipment for qualifications and projects. You will ensure that the filing system of the Technical Department's, the service entity that technically manages Allseas’ vessels, is kept up to date with equipment developments and modifications. You will also make sure that adequate support and knowledge is available for implementation of new and existing equipment on board the vessels, by means of training, manuals and procedures.

Besides this, it is your responsibility to check drawings and documentation to ensure that operational station layout can be achieved with the equipment setups required. 

As Equipment Engineer, you will evaluate, check and approve deliverables of different parties, including bases of design, related test reports, drawings, requisitions, commissioning reports and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports.

Your additional main tasks are:

  • Setting up, planning and managing production equipment development/expansion projects when necessary, based on future projects and/or qualification trials;
  • Monitoring progress of all involved parties during a development/expansion project, making sure all goes according to schedule;
  • Reporting to the Unit Head Coating & Equipment regarding status of newly built equipment, problems foreseen or encountered on development/expansion projects and possible equipment improvements in a broad sense;
  • Providing input for and checking documents for production equipment related tests or trials performed at the Training Centre.

To be successful in this versatile job, you have: 

  • BSc/ MScdegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Excellent communication skills in the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken; 
  • Knowledge of offshore equipment;
  • Willingness to travel.
