We have a great opportunity for a hands-on International Payroll Specialist with deep knowledge of Dutch payroll regulations and social and fiscal legislation to join our Finance Department in Delft, the Netherlands.

Your role

Working as the International Payroll Specialist, you be the go-to-person for all payroll solutions and advice for more than 1000 of our colleagues working at Allseas’ offices and yards across the Benelux.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage the effective and smooth running of the end-to-end Dutch payroll processes, complete reconciliations and resolve queries in a speedy manner.

You will assist payroll processes for international locations, including expat positions, and Allseas crew living in the Netherlands, and promote and support continuous improvement activities to ensure best practice and compliance across the entire payroll process.

This is a great opportunity to work on international payroll but also assist with process notes and documentation to improve and streamline the payroll function.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Drive the optimisation, harmonisation and standardisation process for the Dutch payroll
  • Manage and maintain end-to-end Belgian payroll processes with support of our third-party service provider
  • Lead payroll analytics initiatives to improve reporting and controls
  • Identify and implement new process automation initiatives (e.g. enhancing the payroll IT systems)

In this role, you will work alongside a Payroll Administrator who you will coach and mentor by sharing your knowledge and experience.

What we expect from you

You will have proven payroll experience (10 years), ideally in a similar position within an international environment. A deep knowledge of the Dutch payroll regulations (including Dutch and Belgian social and fiscal legislation) and ambition to develop in this area is essential. Extra knowledge of International Mobility and split payroll topics (Dutch/Belgian), and experience improving automation and reporting processes is a plus.

You have an aptitude and appetite for technology – IT savvy, Excel skilled, conversant with process automation and able to digest big data sets (e.g. Payroll Analytics) to make meaningful, measurable decisions.

We want someone with a strong personality, confident and dynamic, who is highly organised with a hands-on, no-nonsense mentality. You are results driven, service oriented with strong verbal, written and listening communication skills in English (and preferably also in Dutch).
