An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and accurate Service Engineer Rigging to join our Technical Services Department. The Technical Services Department is part of the Technical Department (TD). The TD efficiently manages the maintenance, repair and modifications of all Allseas’ vessels, yards and equipment and provides the best technical service and support to the company both on- and offshore. The Service Engineer Rigging is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing vessel and yard related rigging equipment.

Your role

  • Perform inspections of lifting and rigging equipment, both offshore and onshore;
  • Assist crew with rigging cranes and winches;
  • Grow knowledge and develop expertise in his/her own field and advise technical staff and crew;
  • Assume responsibility for a safe and efficient execution of works on board and on site;
  • Execute maintenance and repair works on board;
  • Keep administration and registration of all inspected equipment up to date, on paper as well as in the available IT systems;
  • Execute other duties as required.

What we expect from you

  • MBO degree or equivalent;
  • (Dutch) EKH training or similar;
  • Computer literate;
  • Administrative skills;
  • Relevant experience in lift and hoist technique;
  • Knowledge of steel wires and inspection criteria;
  • Knowledge of safety equipment requirements on vessels and the relevant class rules.
