An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Engineer to join our Chartering & Logistics Department in Delft, the Netherlands. The department is responsible for line pipe supply chain management and project logistics across the organisation. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the efficient and effective preparation and delivery of the logistical scope of projects executed by Allseas.

Your role

• Prepare the logistical scope and commercial and technical input for the Proposals Department
• Prepare required documentation/procedures for logistical scope of work, ensuring incorporation of contractual requirements
• Arrange and monitor the progress of the transports and expedite as required
• Arrange on location all facilities required for logistical services
• Prepare and issue ITTs to subcontractors, review tender input, prepare bid evaluations and advise to management
• Negotiate and prepare logistical contracts and charter parties
• Maintain contact with logistical service providers and evaluate their performance
• Arrange and expedite any payments and purchase orders
• Initiate, develop and execute plans and procedures to improve existing logistical and material storage/distribution control processes, both onshore and offshore
• Provide budget forecast during project in comparison to the logistics budget
  

What we expect from you

• BSc/MSc degree with a logistical or technical background
• Minimum 2 years within logistics and maritime operations
• Knowledge of all transport utilities and transport control systems
• Willingness to travel 5-6 months per year
• Basic knowledge of BIMCO charter parties
