Your role

Assignment: Energy-Efficiency Study

Allseas’ large logistics, maintenance and warehousing location in Rotterdam Waalhaven serves as a base from where goods and equipment are sent to/received from our vessels offshore. There is a mandatory legal requirement to perform an "Energy-Efficiency Study” for the activities carried out at this yard.

Initially, you will make an overview of energy-efficiency “good practices”, which includes reviewing Dutch legislation and the European EED directive. Based on this overview, you will visit the site to perform a GAP assessment and make a recommendation for the implementation of any energy-efficiency measures. The results will be discussed with the relevant personnel at the Rotterdam site. The last step will be to apply the study to the local authorities (DMCR).

The goal of this assignment is to get insight into the yard’s energy performance, and to come up with feasible and effective measures to improve the overall energy-efficiency that comply with the relevant legal obligations.
