The Service Engineer Rigging works within the Technical Services Department and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of rigging equipment onshore and offshore and assist Equipment Mechanics with all the equipment which is part of Allseas’ yards and workshops.

Your role

  • Perform inspections to lifting and rigging equipment, offshore and onshore;
  • Perform maintenance of safety equipment vessels for yearly certification;
  • Assist crew with rigging cranes and winches;
  • Inspect and certify workshop equipment;
  • Grow knowledge and develop expertise in his/her own field and advise technical staff and crew;
  • Assume responsibility for a safe and efficient execution of work on board and on site;
  • Execute maintenance and repair work on board at the highest possible professional level;
  • Keep administration and registration of all inspected equipment up to date, on paper as well as in the available IT systems.

What we expect from you

  • A minimum of 3 years specialist experience with certification of rigging and lifting equipment;
  • MBO degree or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of steel wires and inspection criteria;
  • Knowledge of requirements safety equipment of vessels and relevant class rules;
  • (Dutch) EKH training;
  • Computer literate.
