Pipeline Installation / Project Engineer

The Pipeline Installation Engineer works within the Pipeline Engineering Department, which is part of the Allseas organisation and prepares and provides support for the offshore pipelay campaigns.

The work extends from the proposal phase to offshore installation. Within the Pipeline Engineering department there are multiple disciplines and each discipline contribute with the brightest minds to meet the project goals working as one team. Disciplines working in this department include design, structural, installation, testing and field engineering. In the project organisation the pipeline engineers are working in multidisciplinary teams where the individual can benefit from knowledge sharing while obtaining an in-depth understanding of the overall project engineering, preparations and execution.

Your role

We are currently looking for a Pipeline Installation Engineer that is ready for a new career step to join our Pipeline Engineering Department in Perth, Australia. As part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, your work involves both the preparations such as establishing the installation procedures and supporting analysis, including involvement in risk assessments and familiarisation of the vessel with the engineering installation solutions. During the offshore execution the Pipeline Installation Engineer provides the required support in the field.

As Installation Engineer, you will be responsible to design and implement various installation solutions for the preparation and successful completion of all offshore installation activities, in a safe and cost effective manner. Tasks within this role include solutions related to contracts, tenders, but also research and development, business development and/or improvements to engineering departmental standards, methods and guidelines. 

What we expect from you

  • BSc or MSc degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Good command of English both written and spoken
  • Relevant experience would be an advantage, but is not considered a prerequisite
  • Willingness to work offshore
  • Eligible to work in Western Australia (current residency in greater Perth area preferred)
