Electrical Engineer (junior)
Are you the type of person who, as a kid, was taking toys apart out of curiosity? Do you still have that curiosity and would you like it to combine with the knowledge acquired in university? We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on Electrical Engineer (Junior) to join our Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Unit in our office in Delft.
To stay ahead of the industry, we are developing tomorrow’s
technology today, transforming bold ideas into state-of-the-art solutions to
meet the energy market’s ever changing needs. Do you trust your own vision and
have the courage to pursue it? Then join the thinkers, leaders and visionaries
at Allseas!
Our E&I Unit is part of the Innovations Department,
which is focussed on developing innovative technologies and processes that
allow Allseas to stay ahead of the game. The E&I Unit is currently working
on hybridisation of our in-house developed fleet, modification of existing
vessels to make them suitable for installation of wind turbines and their
sub-stations and development of new equipment for Allseas’ exiting new sub-sea
activities. In each of these projects, Electrical Engineers analyse the power
needs and are responsible for the design and implementation of suitable
hardware solutions. Furthermore, Electrical Engineers ensure that all
sub-components for these projects are correctly specified, designed and built
and that they can function together as one single system. Lastly, Electrical
Engineers are fully involved in installation and commissioning phases of the
project, requiring them to frequently visit our vessels World-wide.
In the role of Electrical Engineer, you will join a team-minded and energetic department with committed professional colleagues. You will work in a dynamic, world-leading offshore company, with short communication lines. To be successful in this role, you have a hands-on mentality, are efficiency driven and thrive by working independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities, as well as in a team.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will quickly get
responsibilities like making high-level designs, defining specifications,
discussions with vendors and making technical deliverables. You will of course
be mentored by experienced colleagues, so you will be able to apply your
knowledge from university, develop your professional skills and get practical
and hands-on experience. Depending on the phase the project, you will also have
short stays on-board of our vessels to support the installation or to get new
machinery to work.
For this role, we are looking for enthusiastic professionals
who have the ability to work independently, accepting ownership of assigned
responsibilities from the start whilst being supported by a team of
professionals.
