To expend our Data & Analytics team in Delft we are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to provide cutting-edge solutions to help businesses harness the power of data and make data-driven decisions. Are you passionate about data, would you like to expand your knowledge and work with the latest tools (Microsoft Azure Data Factory)? Then we are looking for you!

Your role

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will contribute to the underneath mentioned tasks and grow via ‘learning by doing’. You will support the design, development, and maintenance of our worldwide Allseas Smart Data Platform. You will work closely with our senior data engineers on the Microsoft Azure Data Factory environment of Allseas. Our data has various sources e.g. human resources, procurement, operations or IoT and you will manage these data types (SQL relational, streams, semi- and non structured).

Other jobs specific tasks you will contribute to:

  • Apply Data Modelling (conceptual-logical & physical) and Database Normalisation (normal forms, ISO etc) principles to relevant Data Sources;
  • The development, maintenance and improvements of the data lake, data marts and data visualisations.

What we expect from you

You are an enthusiastic Data Engineer who likes to work at challenging projects and who likes to develop skills under the guidance of experienced mentors. You are a strong communicator, not afraid to ask questions and likes to collaborate with your team members and other colleagues.

Besides this you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Data Science or Business Administration;
  • Microsoft (and other vendor) related certifications like MS Azure Data District etcetera;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
