The Pipeline Installation Engineer works within the Pipeline Engineering Department, which is part of the Allseas organisation and prepares and provides support for the offshore pipelay campaigns. The work extends from the proposal phase to offshore installation. Within the Pipeline Engineering Department there are multiple disciplines, and each discipline contributes with the brightest minds to meet the project goals working as one team. Disciplines working in this department include design, structural, installation, testing and field engineering. In the project organisation the pipeline engineers are working in multidisciplinary teams where the individual can benefit from knowledge sharing while obtaining an in-depth understanding of the overall project engineering, preparations and execution.

Your role

We are currently looking for a Pipeline Installation Engineer that is ready for a new career step to join our Pipeline Engineering Department in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Your work involves leading a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team that is responsible for the engineering preparations for pipelay projects. Consisting of establishing the installation procedures and coordinating the development of the supporting analysis. Additionally you and your teams will be involved in risk assessments and familiarisation of the vessel management team with the selected installation engineering solutions.

As Installation Engineer in a lead role, you will act as the focal and vocal point for installation engineering which involves frequent interaction with other disciplines but also with external parties such as the client, verifying parties or subcontractors. As the engineering back office is located in Delft, the Netherlands and part of the engineering will be done in there, your coordination, communication and a self-starting mentality skill will be key for successful project engineering preparation.

What we expect from you

  • BSc or MSc degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant subsea pipeline installation experience.
  • Good command of English both written and spoken.
  • Relevant experience is required.
  • Willingness to work offshore.
