Do you have strong financial insights and a collaborative mindset to partner with fabrication and yards’ business colleagues in translating their strategy into financial plans, controlling budgets and supporting them with business cases, analytics and decision making? We are looking for a Finance Business Partner for Fabrication and Yards in our office in Heijningen (main location) and Delft.

Your role

You will be part of the Finance Business Partnering department, which is a new and fast developing team within Allseas. We collaborate closely with the business and cross-functionally within finance to realise value maximisation. The Finance Business Partnering team consists of 8 finance-business experts who work in an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere. You will report to the Unit Head Finance Business Partnering, who is located at our head office in Châtel-Saint-Denis, Switzerland.

Your main focus will be on the fabrication and yards units of Allseas located mainly in Heijningen. You will support Allseas to achieve its objectives by translating the strategy into a financial plan, controlling the budget, providing financial analytics and relevant reports to the organisation to make strategic choices with a positive impact on our people, projects, processes, business and financial results. 

Emphasis is placed on the following:     

• Translate fabrications and yards business units’ strategy into financial plans and control it via the performance KPIs, value-added reporting to the management;
• Steer the financial cycles (budget, forecast, actuals) in close collaboration with the budget owners and a special focus on projects’ cost efficiencies, overheads, CAPEX and inventory;
• Estimate, challenge and control projects’ budget in close collaboration with the fabrication business unit and Allseas’ Project Management department;
• Provide relevant information, analytics, develop business cases with data-based insights to support business decisions (using both internal and external data);
• Challenge the status quo, identify, approve and implement “cost & cash effectiveness” opportunities to contribute to Allseas’ business results;
• Safeguard data integrity and compliance to financial standards and accounting policies.

What we expect from you

You are entrepreneurial and get energy from working on a wide range of finance business partnering activities. In our team of finance professionals, you can add your expertise, further develop your skills and pioneer your ideas. Next to analytical and numerical skills, you have strong communication skills, to manage successful stakeholder relations at all levels. You are committed and accurate while at the same time flexible and open to new input and ideas. You are eager to learn, critical and continually look for improvements in the end-to-end process.

You have: 

• At least a completed HBO education or level of working skills and knowledge;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a financial controller, business controller of finance business partner (preferably in an asset heavy environment);
• Experience or high interest in big data management, interpretation and visualisation:
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.
