Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner works within the Finance Business Partnering department and provides the  various disciplines within Allseas with relevant information and data-based insights to support business decisions. The Finance Business Partner reports directly to the Unit Head Finance Business Partnering and closely collaborates cross-functionally with the other finance and business functions.

Your role

You support Allseas in value maximisation in line with the company’s strategic priorities; provide business with the financial plans (budgets, forecasts) and manage it; ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and financial standards. In order to do so, you conduct all activities and tasks according to Allseas' corporate objectives. You familiarise with and comply to Allseas Internal Management System (AIMS) and the Finance Internal Control system (ICS). It is also valued that you challenge the status quo to maximise the company’s value and support business in continuous improvement initiatives implementation. you are the driving force behind the Finance cycles (budget, forecast, actuals) in close collaboration with FP&A and business budget owners. Next to that, you:

  • Provide the business with relevant information and data-based insights to support business decisions (using both internal and external data);
  • Lead scenario preparation and valuation, financial analysis and insights;
  • Support business in KPI set-up, manage data collection for calculation and provide timely reporting;
  • Assist business in building effective systems and processes by sharing holistic view and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
  • Provide data with analytics and support FP&A with finance presentation preparation for the Advisory Board of Allseas;
  • Drive the “ad-hoc” analysis (including internal and external benchmarking) to challenge budget owners on “status quo” and drive cost optimisation initiatives;
  • Provide Management and FP&A with reliable, relevant and timely reporting, including analysis on deviations vs the budget/forecast/prior year;
  • Drive the assessment of risks in financial plans, develop with business the mitigation plan and drive its implementation;
  • Suggest and steer continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency in processes and adequate controls.

What we expect from you

To be able to thrive in the role of Finance Business Partner, it is important that you recognise yourself in the points below. You have:

  • Experience in Financial Controlling, Business Controlling and/or Finance business partnering for 3-5 years;
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in a financial related study or qualified by experience;
  • Experience or high interest in big data management, interpretation and visualisation by leveraging technology;
  • Advanced skills in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Strong problem analytical skills, a clear vision and independent working mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer centric and collaboration mindset;
  • A continuous drive for incremental improvements in end to end processes;
  • Eagerness to learn and self-develop.
  • Willing to travel 3-4 times a year for short term business trips.
