Your role

Our Proposals Department prepares budgets, pre-qualifications and proposals for contracts with major offshore energy exploration companies and offshore wind farm developers worldwide.

As Assistant Proposals Manager, together with the Tender/Proposals Manager, you are responsible for reviewing commercial bid documents, preparing preliminary work plans and co-ordinating distribution of these documents to other departments across the organisation and/or external subcontractors for interdisciplinary input.

As you will be mentored by experienced colleagues, this role can be an excellent start or second step, in your career.

You monitor the process ensuring any questions are answered and all deadlines are met, incorporating the input into the final bid in time for submission to the client. During the tender process, you stay actively involved, assisting the Tender/Proposals Manager during negotiations with clients in order to secure the project.

Other responsibilities and tasks

  • Evaluate bid submissions from subcontractors and prepare evaluations for review by Tender/Proposals Manager
  • Decide on selection of technical qualifications and compile technical sections of bid
  • Compile proposal back-up file
  • In the event of contract award, compile project hand-over fill

What we expect from you

To be successful in this role you will have

  • BSc or MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in the offshore installation industry, ideally heavy lift and/or pipeline installation is a pre
  • Good communicator, building and developing relationship with counter parts in client organisations and other external parties
  • Ability to assign priorities
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken
  • Self-motivated
  • Eagerness to learn and to further selfdevelop
  • Willingness to travel
