As part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team of three CI engineers, you are actively involved in the improvement and streamlining of company processes, implementation of lessons learnt and observations in our day-to-day routines, taking into account the different interests of all stakeholders. The Continuous Improvement team is part of the QHSE department. The Continuous Improvement Engineer ensures that processes and policies in our Quality Management System comply with standards to which Allseas’ operations are certified (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISM, ISPS and MLC), and verifies compliance by means of audit and inspection.

Your role

This challenging role offers a chance to work all over the world on a variety of projects. You will be based at the QHSE Department in Delft, the Netherlands, but we have multiple offices abroad and operate a large fleet of advanced construction vessels, active in the field of heavy lifting, pipe lay and polymetallic nodule collection. Some improvement projects will provide you with the opportunity to visit our fleet and sites.  

Other tasks will be to 

  • Provide required support to project teams, departments, yards and Allseas’ fleet; you will guide the teams on identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of improvements.
  • Provide support to the implementation, maintenance, revision and improvement of our quality management system
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams with a focus on change management.
  • Lead internal and external audits following the quality management system and project(s) requirements

What we expect from you

To be successful in this role you are results driven, have common sense and a hands-on mentality, and have a natural intuition and interest in changing processes. You are able to set priorities and thrive by working in a dynamic department. 

Besides this, you have 

  • BSc/MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimal 3 years of experience in a relevant position
  • Experience with QHSE management systems
  • Experience with root cause analysis meth
  • Good communication skills, able to adopt to different stakeholders
  • Formal training as Lead Auditor ISO9001 would be a nice benefit
  • Lean or Six Sigma is a good recommendation
