The Pipeline Test Engineer works within the Pipeline Engineering Department, which is part of the Allseas organisation and prepares and provides support for the offshore pipelay campaigns. The work extends from the proposal phase to offshore execution and pre-commissioning of pipelines. Within the Pipeline Engineering department there are multiple disciplines and each discipline contribute with the brightest minds to meet the project goals working as one team. Disciplines working in this department include design, structural, installation, testing and field engineering. In the project organisation the pipeline engineers are working in multidisciplinary teams where the individual can benefit from knowledge sharing while obtaining an in-depth understanding of the overall project engineering, preparations and execution.

Your role

We are currently looking for a Pipeline Test Engineer that is ready for a new career step to join our Pipeline Engineering Department in Delft, the Netherlands. As part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, your work involves both the preparations such as establishing a pre-commissioning procedure and coordination of the work in the field, including the flooding, gauging and testing of offshore pipelines following installation.

Allseas have their own testing spread and depending on the project, Allseas will perform the work with this spread. As testing engineer, you will be responsible for the operation of this spread. This function will allow you to show your communication skills and ingenuity to execute the work in a safe, sustainable and cost-effective manner. Depending on the project, Allseas may also subcontract the testing work. Tasks within this role include solutions related to contracts, tenders, but also research and development, business development and/or improvements to engineering departmental standards, methods and guidelines.

What we expect from you

  • An Intermediate or Higher Vocational Education (MBO or HBO) or BSc degree.
  • Good command of English both written and spoken.
  • Relevant experience would be an advantage, but is not considered a prerequisite.
  • Willingness to work offshore
