DevOps Engineer

Allseas Engineering is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative team that supports the transition to a new way of working using IaC and automation of support activities. This will enable Allseas to excel and stay ahead in offshore pipeline installation, heavy lift and subsea construction. Are you a tech-savvy, automation and innovation-driven individual? Your role

The primary responsibilities of this role are to support a wide range of applications and platforms by automating tasks related to software deployment and support. You will also plan and execute the support needed for applications used in the our office and on board of our vessels worldwide. As a DevOps Engineer you will collaborates with end users and stakeholders on projects and new technologies to provide IT best practices. You will also help optimize internal processes and policies to improve our way of working.

(Main)job specific tasks

  • Maintain and build scripts for automation using Azure Pipelines, PowerShell, Terraform and Ansible.
  • Plan and coordinate deployments and upgrades for applications.
  • Create, update and follow technical documentation, installation manuals and scripts for Windows-, Web-, Custom- and Database-driven applications.
  • Communicate and collaborate with end users, key stakeholders and other IT teams/colleagues.
  • Participate in projects to provide IT-related expertise on best practices and support.
  • Assist in documenting internal processes and policies.
  • Keep up to date with the latest program updates and developments regarding new features.
  • Be a member of the Technical Application Support discipline that is part of a wider team supporting Enterprise Content Management, SQL, Integrations and Quality Assurance.

What we expect from you

The candidate we are looking for has a good understanding of IT fundamentals regarding infrastructure, Azure Cloud, software integrations, operating systems and databases. He/she has a desire to automate and innovate and is able to adapt change and picks up new information quickly. You have good communication skills, are proactive and like to collaborate with your team/colleagues.

Besides this, you have

  • HBO/BSc degree in Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related IT back office work experience.
  • Experience with custom application support.
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) and associated tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with ITSM (IT Service Management) tools like TopDesk.
