27,000 tonnes of steel removed from Danish waters and transported 2000 miles to disposal yards around the North Sea for recycling – all in less than 2 weeks. Before we embark on another busy season with our heavy lift vessel Pioneering Spirit, a look back at last summer’s challenging Tyra project for Total E&P Denmark.

The project involved multiple lifts of diverse structures weighing between 14,000 and 900 tonnes. Thanks to Pioneering Spirit’s unique motion compensated topsides lift system, it is a case of move in, lift and move out.
