Internship in web application development

The Software Development team within the Pipeline Engineering Department in Delft, the Netherlands is currently looking for an intern to develop a standard architecture for its web-applications. The Pipeline Engineering Department is responsible for a variety of disciplines including pipeline/structure design, fabrication and installation, in preparation for and support of pipeline installation projects. Working alongside highly skilled colleagues in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you will showcase your strong analytical and problem-solving skills performing crucial design and coding tasks for a product that will be integrated in the most outstanding applications in use for pipeline installation.

In order to improve efficiency of offshore operations, various applications have been developed within the department to help streamline engineering calculations using live data from the field of operations. Allseas would like to benefit further from these calculation tools by integrating them in independent web-controlled interfaces, which will be available from both vessels and office. A common architecture is sought for the construction of these web-interfaces.

Your role

• Use agreed upon development languages to code the most effective solutions to assigned tasks;
• Attend development meetings (scrum, planning, etc.) as an active participant;
• Use efficient and structured programming solutions adhering to department development standards;
• Create the documentation relative to the software architecture;
• Implement test procedures in collaboration with other team members;

What we expect from you

• Solid knowledge of Angular and TypeScript;
• Good knowledge of html and css;
• Ability to design robust and maintainable applications;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
