Lead Application Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Application Engineer to join our IT Department in Delft, the Netherlands. As part of a highly skilled team of problem solvers, you are responsible for managing all aspects of the Application Engineering Department. The department provides first class IT services and support to end-users by recommending, developing and implementing policies and procedures to meet business and project requirements. As a Lead Application Engineer, you ensure a high level of performance and continuity for all managed systems, platforms and technologies.

The Application Engineering Department is part of our IT Department which is responsible for designing, maintaining and supporting Allseas’ information technology infrastructure, enabling the organisation to leverage both information and technology in an efficient, productive and secure manner. Your role

  • Making sure all departmental activities and tasks are in accordance with Allseas’ corporate objectives
  • Co-ordinate, analyse, develop and implement custom applications related to the SharePoint platform
  • Collaborate with internal team and stakeholders to prioritise the roadmap and the features which will provide the most internal and external value
  • Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the team will work on next
  • Stay well-informed about our internal clients’ business initiatives to conceptualise features that achieve their objectives 
  • Maintain an open and honest line of communication with clients on project status
  • Lead a team to manage and support all internal technology needs, including helpdesk, software management, regular maintenance and upgrades
  • Promote and support continuous improvement activities within the department

What we expect from you

  • HBO/BSc degree ideally in Information Technology, Business Administration, or closely related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in an offshore, marine or industrial environment
  • Understand and create tangible clarity around abstract ideas
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) and associated tooling like (Jira/DevOps)
  • Being a PSPO is a big plus
  • Experience in SharePoint or Office 365 is a plus
