An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Service Engineer Mechanical to join our Technical Services Department. The Technical Services Department is part of the Technical Department (TD). The TD’s objective is to develop as a department to be able to efficiently manage the maintenance, repair and modifications of all vessels, yards and equipment, to provide the best technical service and support to the company on- and offshore and to stay ahead of the development of new techniques, changing rules and regulations and client wishes. The Service Engineer Mechanical is responsible for maintaining and repairing vessel related equipment and assist Equipment Mechanics with all the equipment, which is part of the equipment pool.

Your role

  • Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to Allseas equipment, on-site and on board
  • Conduct subcontractors in their works
  • Identify and execute modifications to Allseas equipment
  • Grow knowledge and develop expertise in his/her own field and advise technical staff and crew
  • Assume responsibility for a safe and efficient execution of works on board and on site
  • Execute maintenance and repair works on board at the highest possible professional level
  • Assist Equipment Mechanics with repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Execute other duties as required
  • Keep administration and registration of vessel equipment and of all equipment pool objects up to date, on paper as well as in the available IT systems 

What we expect from you

  • MBO degree or equivalent
  • Equipment specific training combined with relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years specialist experience in an offshore or maritime environment
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Willing to travel and to carry out works on Allseas’ vessels (up to 50%)
