Equipment Mechanic

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a service oriented and creative Equipment Mechanic to join our new fabrication, testing, repair and maintenance site in Heijningen, the Netherlands. The Equipment Mechanic works within the Technical Services Department, and oversees the safe and efficient performance of equipment used to fabricate and maintain equipment and tools for our pipelay vessels.

The Technical Services Department is part of the Technical Department (TD). The TD efficiently manages the maintenance, repair and modifications of Allseas’ vessels, yards and equipment and provides the best technical service and support to the company both on- and offshore.

Your role

• Join the team of caretakers for the Heijningen industrial site;
• Assume responsibility for the safe and efficient performance of production equipment as well as facility equipment;
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain production and logistical equipment;
• Attend repairs and maintenance of other equipment at the yards;
• Keep administration and registration of all the equipment up to date;
• Within this job, it is possible and even necessary to develop yourself to be an all-round maintenance mechanic with a lot of diversion and freedom to plan your own work.

What we expect from you

• MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics;
• Basic skills in Microsoft office products;
• Good command of Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
• Relevant experience in an offshore or maritime environment is considered an advantage.
