An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Service Engineer Piping with a great eye for detail to join our Technical Services Department in Delft, the Netherlands. The Technical Services Department is part of the Technical Department (TD), which manages the maintenance, repair and modifications of Allseas’ vessels, yards and equipment, and provides the best technical service and support to the company both on- and offshore.

The Service Engineer Piping is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing on-board piping systems to the highest possible standards, and provides hands-on support to the Equipment Mechanics and Equipment Electricians with specialist tools and equipment in the equipment pool. We are looking for a piping specialist with the expertise to design, build and maintain complex piping systems on board working vessels. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD isometrics and has spent time working in and offshore or marine environment.

Your role

• Perform maintenance and repairs to on-board piping systems
• Assist with modifications to on-board piping systems
• Plan work preparation of piping projects: making diagrams, isometrics, material lists and planning
• Control production and installation of piping (systems)
• Update technical drawings and pipe diagrams
• Grow knowledge and develop expertise in his/her own field and advise technical staff and crew
• Assume responsibility for a safe and efficient execution of works on board and on site
• Execute other duties as required
• Keep administration and registration of all inspected equipment up to date

What we expect from you

• MBO degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Welding training
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• A minimum of 3 years’ specialist experience
• Experience in pipe engineering and building piping systems
• Knowledge of isometrics is required
• Solid experience with the design of and drafting P&IDs and piping diagrams
• Experience with (the supervision) installation works
• A minimum of 1 year experience on board or on shipyards
