We are currently looking for an Equipment Mobilisation Co-ordinator for our production yard in IJmuiden, the Netherlands. The yard activities will relocate beginning 2018 to Heijningen. The Equipment Mobilisation Co-ordinator works within the Pipeline Production Department (PPD) and is responsible for co-ordinating the deployment of equipment to projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Our fleet boasts the largest, most innovative and most technically advanced pipelay vessels in the world. The PPD is ultimately responsible for all welding, non-destructive testing (NDT) and coating activities on board the vessels. In this role, you will monitor the stock levels of production equipment and accessories stored at our IJmuiden production yard, and liaise with Allseas departments and third party suppliers to ensure project-specific equipment and accessories are correctly mobilised and sent to the vessels on time and within budget.

Your role

  • Create detailed mobilisation lists for production equipment
  • Ensure sufficient stock of production equipment and accessories, both in the onshore warehouses and on board the vessels
  • Monitor and support the packing of production equipment during the mobilisation phase
  • Monitor machines and parts received in the warehouse for quality consistency
  • Calculate required equipment consumables for a project, based on the input from Equipment Engineers
  • Set up requisitions for equipment consumables
  • Stay in close contact with Maintenance Co-ordinators to identify potential equipment related problems and/or improvement opportunities
  • Update the Unit Head Equipment on the status of newly built equipment, problems foreseen or encountered on development/expansion projects and possible equipment improvements

What we expect from you

  • Mechanical Engineer, general technical education (LTS, MTS level) or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar position
  • Sufficient experience with offshore construction and deck equipment
  • Able to organise, set priorities and plan own work
  • Independent professional who is also a great team worker
  • Computer literate
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel in order to work offshore and abroad
  • Preferred candidates living around Heijningen and prepared to work in IJmuiden temporarily (accommodation offered during the week) or living in IJmuiden and planning to move in the future to the environment of Heijningen (no relocation allowance provided).
