We are seeking a Unit Head P&O Consultant Crew to join our P&O Crew Department in Essen, Belgium. Our P&O Consultants Crew supports and advises Management, Vessel Management, Vessel Personnel and relevant departments on crew related personnel matters. The Unit Head P&O Consultant Crew reports directly to the Department Head P&O Vessels.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with projects such as setting HR regulations, leading a team in the daily operation and is organised with excellent organisational skills.

Your role

• Contributes in preparing management information on regular bases;
• Contributes or leads projects in developing regulations according to Allseas policies;
• Support and advise Management, Vessel Management, Vessel Personnel and relevant departments on crew related personnel matters;
• Maintain contacts with recruitment and crewing agencies;
• Maintain contacts with various governmental agencies, like departments of labour, immigration, embassies etc, in different countries;
• Ensure a cost effective use of manpower in terms of direct labour cost (salary and benefits) and operational labour cost (travel, expatriation, etc);
• Leads the P&O Consultant team in the daily operation;
• Acts as the right hand of the Department Head P&O Vessels.

What we expect from you

• HBO degree Personnel Management or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in P&O function, preferably in offshore environment
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Good communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills 
• Stress endurance
• Team player
• Hands on mentality
