An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Software Engineer with a background in technical software to join our Innovations Department in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. As part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary R&D team, you are designing, developing and implementing the software components of new engineering solutions and processes that advance the capabilities, performance and efficiency of Allseas’ vessels and equipment.

Your role

Your role

• Drive full lifecycle software development from product strategy, testing to live issue resolution
• Design, develop and integrate software components within fully functional equipment and systems
• Test and commission equipment (possibly in an offshore environment)
• Define and validate specifications, requirements and scope of work
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Follow Agile (Scrum/Kanban) engineering practices
• Improve and evaluate existing systems/tools/libraries
• Provide advice and support as necessary
• Keep up to date with the relevant trends in software development

What we expect from you

What we expect from you

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in developing technical software
• Knowledge of or affinity with equipment design
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Highly developed problem solving skills, creative thinking and proactive approach
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Willingness to work offshore occasionally

Experience in the following areas is a plus

• C# and the .NET framework
• C++, Objective-C, or JAVA
• Data models and databases
• Hardware or embedded
• Parallel processing (CPU, GPU, FPGA)
• UML and use cases
